Since its launch in September 2024, REACH has become more than just a support program—it has been a lifeline for colleagues in their darkest moments. When Colleague A lost his mother while caring for his ailing father, REACH members and his GM brought not just condolences but pride, reminding his father of his son’s invaluable contributions. Colleague B, grieving her father’s passing, found solace in hospital visits and heartfelt home condolences, feeling the warm embrace of her work family.
After Colleague C’s apartment was destroyed by a fire just a month before his wedding, REACH and his teammates stepped in with mattresses, financial aid, and unwavering emotional support, reminding him he was not alone. For Colleague D, battling a relapse of cancer, and Colleague E, who is newly diagnosed with cancer, REACH became a steadfast presence, offering reassurance, job security, and heartfelt visits that moved both them and their families to tears. Through these acts of kindness, REACH embodies what it means to be a family, proving that in the face of life’s greatest challenges, we stand stronger together, with love, compassion, and unwavering support. |

Outside of work, I have a creative and nurturing side. I enjoy handicrafts, tea tasting, and caregiving—activities that bring me calm and fulfilment. Please share 1 proudest moment or memory? Caring for both my parents when they contracted COVID-19 was a defining moment for me. Despite the challenges, I persevered and even reached out to Minister of Health, Mr. Ong Ye Kung, who arranged their admission to a quarantine hospital. This experience highlighted the power of resilience and community support. Whom do you admire most and why? My mother, who has been the pillar of our family. Her selflessness, kindness, and strength inspire me to be a better person every day. What drives you / what motivates you? I live by the motto, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” Challenges and obstacles are opportunities for growth and self-improvement, pushing me to strive for excellence. Your hobbies? Recently reopened after three years of revitalisation, Big Sister’s Island is the crown jewel of Sisters’ Islands Marine Park, just a 30-minute ferry ride from the mainland. The island now boasts coastal trails, swimming lagoons, and a unique floating boardwalk for up-close coral viewing. Powered by solar energy, it also features habitats for wildlife and a desalination plant for clean water.

Essentials include sunscreen, insect repellent, a cap/hat, tissues, ground sheets, and plastic bags for your trash. What to expect at Big Sister's Island: 1. Floating boardwalk: Singapore’s first 220m floating boardwalk, doubling as a coral habitat and research site. 2. Ocean Network Express Coastal Forest Trail: A 230m trail through the island’s coastal forest. 3. Hilltop view deck: Enjoy panoramic views of the sea and surrounding offshore islands like Pulau Jong and Pulau Semakau. 4. Lagoon tidal pool: A low seawall built across the entrance of an existing lagoon has transformed it into a tidal pool that retains seawater during low tide. 5. Net zero-energy facilities: The island hosts a solar farm with 88 photovoltaic, emission-free solar panels.
