What interesting fact about yourself that most of your colleagues are not aware of?
I'm a marketer by day but a passionate baker at heart. I create a variety of delicious treats like baguettes, red bean buns, red wine bread, pizza, fruit tarts, mille crepes, and cookies. Among my loved ones, the Pandan Chiffon Cake is a top favourite. Please share 1 proudest moment or memory? One cherished memory stands out: my late father's 2011 Best Cleaner Award in Singapore's North-East District. At 72, he devotedly cleaned tables, defying stereotypes about his "low-class" job. His unwavering commitment and belief in giving his best, despite societal labels, left a lasting impact. He insisted that job satisfaction came from effort quality, not perception. Even when we urged retirement, he clung to his work ethic, declaring, "As long as my body can, I'll work." His story taught me that pride stems from dedication, not a job title. Whom do you admire most and why? Another figure I greatly admire is Steve Jobs. He redefined technology, crafting elegant and user-friendly experiences. His pursuit of excellence, unwavering commitment to innovation, and boundary-pushing resonated with me. Beyond a tech genius, he was a master storyteller, intertwining technology, design, and emotion to elevate products. His anticipation of consumer desires showcased his intuitive grasp of human needs. Steve Jobs' legacy teaches that innovation isn't just about what's possible but what's beautifully imaginable. What drives you / what motivates you? Each morning, I embrace the possibilities of a new day with the gentle touch of dawn and the sun's warm rays. A cup of freshly brewed coffee fuels my motivation. I've learned that life's beauty lies in its unpredictability, and I now relish living each chapter as it unfolds. Letting go of the need to foresee allows us to embrace the magic of the unknown and its serendipitous moments. Your hobbies? Jogging is a daily ritual for me, not just for its health benefits (I've shed 16kg during the pandemic) but also for uncovering hidden treasures in my neighbourhood. Each run is an adventure. I'm an avid reader, drawn to the unique styles of different authors. It's like exploring a gallery of words where every sentence is a masterpiece. And yes, I'm a K-drama enthusiast! 😄 Korean storytelling's creativity and emotional depth never cease to amaze me. |

What interesting fact about yourself that most of your colleagues are not aware of?
I have this not-too-unique hobby, which started back when I was in primary school. It began as an encouragement from my class teacher. It has helped me to see the world as a little girl and bring dreams into my life later. This unusual hobby is "Stamp Collection. "To pursue this "see the world" dream, I travelled to the destinations on the stamps. Currently, I am collecting the Miniature Sheet rather than the normal stamps, which has a bigger story to the eyes. Please share 1 proudest moment or memory? To be my parents' daughter is my biggest gift. I was being brought up in an environment full of love and respect. Whom do you admire most and why? My dad has always been my greatest role model in life. His hardworking approach, unconditional love for the family and the values he has shared have moulded who I am today. Despite being a daughter, he never exercised what a strict father would have been to me. He has given me the fullest trust and freedom to choose, lead the life I want to be and be happy. What drives you / what motivates you? I love challenges, which will motivate me to stay focused and alert on things I need to do. Your hobbies? My hobbies evolve with age; at the moment, I enjoy travelling, photography, walking and hiking, food appreciation and attending art exhibitions. Stamp collection, my childhood hobby, is still going strong after years, and I hope for a more interesting collection. |

● Referred local candidates must be sourced through individual efforts excluding the use of social media or any other paid or unpaid recruitment platforms. ● Not an ex-employee who has left employment 6 months prior. ● Employees who are of job grade C-1 and above and/or positions involved in recruitment are NOT eligible to the incentive. e.g. HR and personnel in charge of hiring and General Managers of the hotels. ● Walk-ins application at the hotel properties are not defined as referral cases. Payment ● Payment to the referrer will be on the 4th and 7th month from the join date of the new hire, $500 for each trench via regular payroll. ● Both referrer and new hire must NOT be serving notice or terminated from service at the point of payout. Check for any misspelling, substitution of letters, and/or the deliberate shifting of ".gov.sg" to other parts of the web address. |
