Hence, we have reinforced our Vision, Mission and Core Values where we will focus in aligning this throughout the organisation over the next few months. This is fundamental to building a strong corporate culture and a Healthy Organisation for our long-term survival and success.

Once again, I thank you for your continued support, please stay safe and continue to adopt good hygiene practices during this period.

Emergency Deployment Training

Some 30 of our HQ colleagues had undergone the Emergency Deployment Training conducted by Mr. Kenneth Seah & Ms Nur Hidayah over 8 different sessions at the corporate head office in September 2020. This training aims to equip our HQ staff with the necessary knowledge on the work processes of our front office operations as well as the skills needed to tackle challenges faced by our team so that they can support the hotel operations during an emergency.

Both Kenneth and Hidayah were very engaging and knowledgeable. Their sharing has garnered positive interest and enthusiasm on the part of participants throughout the sessions.

Trainers’ memorable moments:

“It was their willingness to discover further about the operational aspects of the Front Office function that made this experience much more meaningful and memorable for me. I was most touched by their serious determination to take on an unfamiliar role which required them to step out of their comfort zone of each other's expertise (sales, accounts etc) in order to assist the organisation in times of need.”
- Kenneth Seah, Hotel Manager, Hotel Classic by Venue

“All of them were engaged throughout the training and the room was filled with laughter and curious questions.”
- Nur Hidayah, Guest Service Manager, Hotel Boss

Tip #1
Think Positive

Think positively, even during stressful situations. Viewing a stressful situation positively helps you see it in a different way. Instead of an obstacle, see the situation as an opportunity to challenge yourself!

Tip #2
Stay Physically Healthy

Engage in regular physical activity. Not only does regular physical activity keep you physically fit, it also helps to de-stress and improves your mood.

Tip #3
Learn a new skill!

Spend time to learn a new skill that you can apply in work and/or life and make new acquaintances, broaden your social circle as you do so!

Tip #4
Take it a day as it comes!

Remember to continue to take it a day as it comes! Spring out from bed, have a nice shower and have a good meal. Every little step counts!

Tip #5
Just keep going!

If you feel anxious or depressed, know that you are not alone. Stay connected with your friends, family and even colleagues via phone calls, short meet ups outside of your house or take part in an online activity together!
